You see unlike in A&T's block. Everything is centered around actually PLAYING!

Good work MD!

in what ways was A&Ts line better than this? only thing i could think of is the fact that they danced... and danced... played... and danced again

CS entertained with mostly show and some skill... but MD pulled it off with pure substance.

apparently CS thinks having a DJ playing Soldier Boy while they danced qualifies as a W.

well to the average joe who doesn't care for skill and finesse as much as showboatin', A&T would definitly be the winner... but when it comes down to straight choppin... well, ya'll seen the clips... no contest in that area.

(Sigh) You guys forgetting. Their job was to entertain the crowd......by ANY means necessary. CS put on a performance each year and whether it be at NSU or NC A&T campus, the crowd is able to relate to what CS is presenting. Yes, Two Cent Funk Squad got SOME chops, but the show had no connection to the audience, and in that, they failed....And by the way, MDFS......That single stroke roll that was pulled off at the beginning---I doubt if your whole snare line can equate to doing it. I think CS is still up on there game. They did their tasks. The chopping that's shown on their feature was only a GLIMPSE of what they can do..........trust me !!! I've seen the boys play......I guess if their lines were to face up face to face, CS will take it...no hands down.

Knee-gro please... You know y'all got chopped up. My Spartans did what we're known for.... PLAYING.

A DRUMlines job is not to waste a 1:20+ doing what ANYbody with legs and arms can do before they even actually play the drum.

A DRUMlines job is not to pull an all out grind session... that again has NOTHING to do with playing. Another time waster...

Y'all snare line had a couple nice parts. But that is not enough to grant you guys a "W" over NSU. You guys took LONG breaks from actually playing...

Yes, let's talk about a drumline's job. A drumline's job is to entertain and perform. A 5 minute snare feature is not a drumline's job. Chopping with no intent to make the show interesting other than a sectional opening in the beginning is not a drumline's job. You can chop, no doubt about that, but how you do it is BORING! If MDF$ were more entertaining, I would enjoy their shows more. But until that time, this is another MDF$ production, 8 minute snare break so you can go get popcorn included.

You guys can continue to put on those 3-4 minute music video reenactments. And leave the actual playing to MD....

ANYbody can do the "Soulja Boy"... Or grind to "In those Jeans". You can have it.

so what you guys are sayin is A&T won cus they danced with the crowd and had a DJ play hype music during their routine??? if that is the case then they should bring a DJ everywhere they go. and watch the MD tape again... they got the crowd goin' with straight choppin... and to address an earlier comment, all the members of MD can play(check out other clips)... they don't need a DJ to get the crowd goin'...

LOL@ these CS cats. You guys are the ONLY ones that think you are good! Let ya'll tell it, ya'll ripped up PVAMU, AAAANNND MDFS which are on EVERYBODY's top two hbcu drumline list(check ANY site). I have never even seen CS mentioned when they have a "best of" in ANYTHING dealing with percussion. This is for good reason...ya'll suck. If MD was boring as you say.....why do they have soooo many fans, and are more respected than CS? Maybe ya'll need to do a "boring" block....lol. You can start by dumping the dj, and clown theatrics and actually playing. MDFS entertains without all that crap, and the respect comes when you can get a reaction in somebody elses house (like this clip proves) without all the bullshhhhhh.....

LOL@ya'll being exciting. That crap CS did looked like a BET porno. *smh*

Seriously.............why are yall sitting up here whining and complaining about the little things, like a d*mn DJ and "hype man"? Maybe because yall dont have anything negative to say about their show besides them having a "hype man" and dancing!!! As I can recall, the DJ played during the whole event, so he wasnt just there for CS show.
MD is never boring..........lmao..........you have got to be sh*ting me, lol. MDFS did very good and soooo did CS!!!!! But, to be honest......I liked CS show better, they played and entertained the audience.......basically they gave a SHOW!! When I watched the MDFS show, honestly I watched mayb 35 seconds of it, stopped it and clicked on something else......why because it didnt catch my eye and and it was appealing to me...........basically it was boring. When I watched CS video from the moment they came out, they had my attention the whole time....why because they were crunk, they chopped, had excellent tricks and they were just grooving the whole time. But.....thumbs up to both d-lines!!!! Yall both did extremely well!!! But, yall both have totally different styles so to me there is no winner or losers.........YALL ARE BOTH WINNERS 2 ME!!!!

All I have to say is there is a drum show from Norfolk on here against VSU. Not only did I hear a DJ but there was also a funky break down with some drum humping. So its ok when Norfolk does it but when we do it we suck and are sorry drummers. I dont get it. But w/e.We always gon do us regardless of what anybody has to say about us. We play as well as entertain in any and everything we do. Y'all choose to pay attention to just the entertaining parts and then come on here and talk sh**. But its all good tho. I aint hatin on nobody. Big ups to Norfolk, yall quints was really goin for it at da end. The show was boring to me but it was still clean and well executed. See y'all at the next band brawl.

there is a big difference in our ANNOUNCER saying HOOOOO once and a hype screaming your entire drum feature. There is a greater difference in doing a dance movement while playing your instrument and a drum section dancing to ginuwine winding, humping, pumping, taking shirts off and jiggabooing!!!!

Nuff Said!!!!

This was great unlike A&T NSU has musicianship and skills. If I want ed to see cold steel I will just turn on bet. And that is sad because I go to A&T. Good job Norfolk State.
