I was with A&T during this game. Though it was one of our bigger games that year, it was so boring. the only way anyone in A&T's band remembers this game was for the 5th quarter fiasco.

Let's put it like this, TSU, showed A&T why they were voted King of the Stands. TSU put on a show for the RCA Dome during the 5th. The entire crowd from both schools was into the Aristocrat of Bands. A&T was looking like a deer in headlights.

Ah, false, my good man. The story goes like this:

At the end of the the 4th quarter, as the 5th quarter was about to begin, we were introduced to our "judge," who would tell us when it would be our turn to play, to keep the battle organized. TSU went first, and as they finished, we got up and got ready to play. We were told by our "judge" to wait. We did. TSU played again. We continued to wait until our judge gave the go ahead. She never did.

As all this is unfolding, our BD, who was ready to have a good 5th, head out to eat and get back to the hotel after A&T's victory, becomes quite angry, and after giving the "judge" a strict what we will call "talking-to," he gave us the word to head out. He would not put up with the ridiculous "organization" of the 5th quarter.

TSU was good that night, and the Win was handed to them by the "judges." We were prepared. Don't think twice about that.

Hold on, so why were you all the only ones to know about a judge, unless my memory is failing me?

oh we though the same thing. why wasn't there a judge to stop TnSU? then we realized that apparently they didn't have a judge, but we had enough authorities on our side telling us that we don't want to get kicked out for playing out of turn. we also realized that we didn't have time to sit through the semantics, so we left. 5th quarter was effectively ruined.

We did it because we were bored. The game was boring, and we needed some way to entertain ourselves. You can only listen to "The Show" for so long before you get bored.
